AD wants out of New Orleans. Where will he wind up next?

AD (Anthony Davis) is done in New Orleans. Well, technically he still plays for the Pelicans, but he mentally checked out. On Monday morning, Anthony Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, has come out and said that AD wants to be traded. He will not be resigning with the Pelicans, and wants that he wants to play with a contender. This is huge! We all know how talented and transcending of a player that AD is, and how he can change the outcome of any franchises’ future. For New Orleans, this might be the beginning  of the end. The fact that the best player in the organizations history is demanding to leave is devastating. There is no guarantee that they will acquire another player as great as he is. It’s been a tough ass week for the city of New Orleans.

“Anthony wants to be traded to a team that allows him a chance to win consistently and compete for a championship,” Paul told ESPN. “Anthony wanted to be honest and clear with his intentions and that’s the reason for informing them of his decision now. That’s in the best interest of both Anthony’s and the organization’s future.”-Rich Paul, Anthony Davis’ agent.

So now the big question is, “Where does AD want to play?” I have an idea. How about with LeBron James in LA?! I think most of the world already thinks that’s where he will end up. It makes the most sense. They have a lot of young talent to trade to New Orleans, and LeBron has been looking for his sidekick all year. Seems like the perfect fit.But what about the other teams? Could there be a better fit for AD?

The New York Knicks have already come out and said they will be extremely aggressive on acquiring AD. They have some young talent, and I would believe that they would give up everything they have to get him. The only thing is, does New Orleans want to traded AD for any of those bum in New York. How about Boston?  You would think that the Celtics would be trying to trade for Anthony Davis, right? Well of course they have interest in him, but they aren’t allowed to because of contract reasons. The only way for Boston to land AD is if its after July 1st. And we all know LA aint gonna let that happen.

Golden State wouldn’t have a reason to trade for Anthony Davis right? As crazy as it might sound, I think that AD to the Warriors is a real possibility. I know, I know, I’m a Warriors fan, but I’m being serious. They don’t have any young players to trade, but they do have some All-stars that they could give up. Klay and Draymond? Would you be willing to trade them for a 25 year old superstar?

Where ever Anthony Davis winds up, that organization is going to change for the better. Players like that rarely become available. Unfortunately for New Orleans, they will realize that on the loosing end.
