Antonio Brown sounds like the perfect Raider. Everything that embodies the Raider’s culture, AB has. Flashy, Cocky, Arrogant, and a little Crazy are perfect words to describe Antonio Browns. The words Elite Receiver, Fantasy killer, and Best in the game, also describe AB. I’m sure if you’re reading this story, you’ve probably already seen the man in action on the football field. But, this story has to do with yet another issue off the field for Antonio Brown.
Brown showed up to Raider’s training camp in a hot air balloon. Honestly, I don’t know how these coaches allow their players to show up in random things to work, but that’s a separate issue. The problem is Antonio Brown has not played yet in training camp, for the Raiders. Football has started back and AB is watching from the sidelines because of a foot injury. Being specific, he’s sidelined because he has FROSTBITE ON HIS FOOT!!! I couldn’t believe it when I first heard it. Like how did that even happen? Apparently he got it by stepping and staying barefoot in a cryotherapy chamber. Shouldn’t the person helping you, tell you to wear shoes?
So if that wasn’t bad enough, AB and the Raiders have another problem to deal with. According to NFL.com, “NFL Network’s Michael Silver reported Friday, in addition to a seemingly unprecedented NFL injury of frostbitten feet, Brown’s absence from the Raiders practices was due in large part to his frustration to having to wear and NFL-regulated helmet rather than the one he has worn for the majority of his career.” Antonio Brown to the situation further. He vowed that if he wasn’t able to wear his old helmet, that he would retire from football. Long story short, the NFL said no, and AB changed his mind.
Antonio Brown might be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL but he comes with a lot of problems. Problems that some NFL organization wouldn’t want to deal with. The Raiders brought AB to Oakland, but forgot that he traveled with problems. Every team wants a player like Antonio Brown. On the field. He’s unstoppable. But all the Raiders have seen is his problematic side. My advice to Raiders, if you want Antonio Brown’s best ability, be prepared to deal with his worst.
