NBA: The Golden State Warriors start off the 2018 season Tuesday, October 16th against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It is the last year for the team at Oracle Arena, in Oakland. Straight off their back to back championships, the team looks to start it all back up against one of their rivals.
Usually I wouldn’t bet a point spread this high, but this game will be different. The warriors are healthy this year, coming into the start of the season (With the exception of DeMarcus Cousins of course). The Thunder on the other hand are not. Their superstar Russell Westbrook underwent a knee procedure in mid-September, and although he is practicing with the team, he has not been cleared for full-contact. Center, Steven Adams and Guard Andre Roberson are also on the injury report list. They are questionable for the game Tuesday.
Without 3 of Thunder’s 5 starters playing, a healthy Golden State team might be too much for them to handle. Even though the Warriors will be receiving their Championship rings before the game, They will be focused enough to out last the injury riddled Thunder. This one might get ugly fast. Take the Warriors -12.5
